Jennifer Carrol Foy was born and raised in Petersburg, Virginia. While at Petersburg High School,she earned a full scholarship to Virginia Military Institute and enrolled in the third class of female cadets to attend the historically all-male college. She was an adjunct professor at the Virginia State University and Richard Bland Community College briefly before enrolling into law school. After graduating law school with cum laude honors, she attained a litigation associate position with a law firm in Los Angeles, California. Shortly after she returned to Virginia, were she had the privilege of serving the citizens of Richmond as a Magistrate Judge and later a public defender. She wants to be elected to have the opportunity to work on protecting women’s access to reproductive health care, fighting for equal pay for equal work, advancing criminal justice reform, expanding pre-k education, supporting teachers and first responders through better pay, and finding ways to alleviate the transportation issues that still affect Prince William and Stafford County citizens everyday.
